I spent Dead Week getting my online house in order, and I wanted to share the highlights. If you did something similar let me know—I’d love to read about it! Here’s the gist of what I did:
- Solidified the purpose, topics, and schedule of the Elezea newsletter. I’m even one post ahead, which reduces some of the anxiety of the weekly schedule.
- Revamped both of my regular blogs with a “business in the front, personality and obsessions in the back” approach:
- Clarified Elezea to be mainly focused on product management and software development.
- Brought Elezea B-Sides back from the dead, hosted on Micro.blog. Focused on technology, music, and internet culture.
- Added a Follow and Subscribe page to tie it all together. This is where I will link to from all other social channels.
This kind of tinkering can very quickly become unproductive and result in something overly complicated that absolutely no one in the world cares about. This might be where I ended up here? But I will say that considering waves hands around at everything I do feel good about this little piece of online ownership I carved out for myself. Let’s see how long it lasts before I blow it all up again…
